Maxime Roussel
PhD Student in Economics

Maxime Roussel is a PhD student in economics. He is doing his thesis at Rives & Eaux du Sud-Ouest, a company that manages the Neste system in Gascony. His research focuses on irrigation water pricing of this complex system which supplies 1500 km of rivers over a territory of 8400 〖km〗^2. He is working on a history of water pricing in the Neste system since the 19th century. He also reflects through interviews and workshops with stakeholders on a water pricing policy that would ensure the sustainability of this system which is threatened by global warming.
