Biography :

Nina Graveline is a researcher in agricultural and water economics. She’s a researcher in the Innovation joint research unit (Inrae, Cirad, Institut Agro) and is associated to the G-EAU lab. Her main research interests are climate change adaptation of farming, water management and economic resilience. She’s particularly invested in the economic analysis of irrigation development on Mediterranean vineyards and agro-ecology as a resilience and climate change adaptation strategy. She’s engaged in the development of an integrated modeling exercise to support a stakeholder dialogue and strategy construction process in the Aude catchment. She’s engaged in works that develop and operationalize the concept of resilience at farm scale.
Her methodological toolbox spans from microeconomic and integrated modeling to hydrid methods that rely on collecting and analyzing farm scale or stakeholder data with surveys and participative methods.
Before joining INRAE, she previously worked 14 years at the French Geological Survey as an economist on water management & policy and agricultural water use in science-policy projects in France and internationally.
